Does it work on toenails?
The supplier rates it for fingernails and toenails, with a high speed for harder nails. Trim toenails after a shower, when they're softer, and work slowly along the edge. The slot fits a normal nail edge, so very thick, wide or curved toenails may not fit. Those are a job for a podiatrist, not a gadget.
Is it easy to use if my grip isn't what it was?
There's no squeezing. You press a button and guide the nail edge into the slot, so it's about steady, slow movement rather than hand strength. Go slowly the first few times until you get the feel for it.
How does it trim? Is it slow?
A small blade spins behind the slot and shaves the edge a little at a time, so it's gentler than a snip but a bit slower. Use a light touch and let it do the work. Pressing hard slows it down.
Is it safe to use?
The blade spins behind a guard slot, so you're not closing sharp jaws near your skin. As with any nail tool, go slowly, keep your fingers steady and don't use it on broken or irritated skin. Supervise children, and keep it away from water.
Can I use it on someone else's nails?
Yes. It's handy for doing Mum's or Dad's nails, or the grandkids'. Go slowly, keep their hand steady and supervise children.
How long does the battery last?
The supplier rates it at about 15 minutes of use per charge, and about 1–2 hours to recharge with the USB-C cable. Charge it fully before you first use it.
Is it noisy?
You'll hear a small motor hum while it runs. The supplier doesn't publish a decibel rating, so we won't put a number on it.
How do I clean it?
Open the clippings chamber and tip it out over the bin, then brush the slot with a dry brush. Don't rinse it or put it under water.
